Passenger Prince Theory Test

Men are more likely to take the driver's seat in relationships, with 62% preferring to drive over their partner, our research found. The top reasons? 45% think they're a better driver and 42% like to be in control of the car. Yet, nearly a fifth of women say their partner is an annoying passenger and 'backseat driver' when they’re behind the wheel - even though seven in ten (69%) men think they’re a good passenger. Meanwhile, 63% of women find backseat drivers patronising.

That’s why we’re encouraging women (or anyone looking to switch up the usual driving dynamic) to take the wheel with temporary car insurance behind them. We’re also launching our Passenger Prince Theory Test. It’s designed to help men (or anyone who backseat drives) to let go of those habits and learn to enjoy the ride. Who knows? They might even discover the joys of being chauffeured – and maybe even a little pampered too.
