The UK's car shows

There’s a whole host of car shows and motoring events taking place this year. Whether you’re a petrolhead or a classic car enthusiast, you’re sure to enjoy the thrills and atmosphere of one of these live events.

A car show gives manufacturers the chance to launch new models, showcase rare and classic models, and the motoring community the chance to meet and form bonds with each other.

We’ve compiled a list of some of the biggest UK car shows around but do check your local listings for smaller-scale events where enthusiasts can share their pride and joy.

Heading to one of the bigger car events and expecting a longer journey? You could share the trip with temporary car insurance.

May’s car shows and events

From pre-war vehicles to modern GTs, hundreds of classic racing cars will take to the track in this celebration of racing.

Car club displays, a classic car park and trading area where you can buy everything from hard-to-find car parts to one-of-a-kind collectables.

A family-friendly mainstay in the motoring calendar since 2018, Supercar Fest attracts 40,000 visitors annually with plenty of hypercars, displays, launches, influencers, celebrities and mouth-watering food on offer.

June’s car shows and events

This event assembles the world’s rarest cars in the heart of the Square Mile. There are 130 cars on display, live music and DJs to get you dancing.

This debut event celebrates cars from the 1920s through to the 1990s with races, demonstrations and displays. You’ll also have the chance to see pre-war sports cars, 2-litre sportscars and pre-66 GT Sprint grids.

Live rally demonstrations and displays of classic, rally and supercars - plus the drive-through safari park, Longleat Railway and Jungle Cruise!

July’s car shows and events

One of the major events in every Formula 1 fan’s calendar, the Silverstone Grand Prix offers a four-day celebration of racing with tech talks, immersive entertainment and sets from David Guetta, Richard Ashcroft, Chase and Status and Rag ‘n’ Bone Man all taking place around the qualifying races, sprints and main event.

You’ll get to see world-class motorsport, global superstars and impressive exhibits in the West Sussex countryside.

If you know your Yugo from your Yaris, this one-day event could be for you. It showcases the quirky, charming and decidedly unexceptional vehicles manufactured between 1971 and 2001.

An authentic tribune to the machines, the heroes and eras that defined global motorsport including Grand Prix icons, endurance specialists and GT3 legends.

August’s car shows and events

Described as ‘The Greatest Show on Wheels’, this event gives you the chance to dive into car culture through displays, live action and hands-on experiences. A family event that also offers meet and greets with Skye from Paw Patrol, Sonic the Hedgehog and Paddington Bear.

  • Carfest
  • 28-30 August
  • Silverstone, Northamptonshire

Now taking place at Silverstone, Carfest is home to some of the fastest and most breathtaking cars alongside fun-filled family activities and attractions. The all-star line-up includes Jessie J, Tom Jones, Nile Rodgers & Chic plus comedy from Rob Brydon, Lee Mack and Maisie Adam.

September’s car shows and events

From rare vintage vehicles to the latest hypercars, you’ll be able to see a curated collection in some truly breathtaking surroundings.

This even brings together 60 of the rarest cars from around the world, including some that have never been seen before in the UK.

“The biggest outdoor sale of motoring items this side of the Atlantic”, the Autojumble gives car enthusiasts the chance to buy motoring spares, automobilia and historic vehicles.

With its 2026 theme of La Dolce Vita (Italian for ‘the sweet life’), Goodwood Revival will celebrate vintage cars and fashion with historic racing, incredible aircraft and immersive experiences. Plus plenty of dancing.

November’s car shows and events

Not so much a show but still a spectacle, the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run finds hundreds of the very earliest motor cars from all the world (some even run on steam!) covering the 60 miles from Hyde Park to Madeira Drive.

You’ll be able to see 3,000 vehicles across seven halls in the National Exhibition Centre (the equivalent of 16 football pitches) and enjoy meet-and-greets, hands-on exhibitions and driving thrills.

From the high-speed thrills to vintage charm, this year is packed with incredible motoring events. Don’t forget to plan your journey, especially if you’re splitting the driving for a longer trip.

Remember, you can easily cover someone else for the duration of the event with temporary car insurance.
