Is windscreen cover included?

Our short-term policies do not cover a sole claim for broken/damaged glass including the windscreen. Unlike annual insurance policies, we do not currently offer separate cover for windscreen damage that entitles you to a standalone windscreen cover. For more information on what is covered by your policy, please check your policy documents.

Will I lose my No Claims Bonus?

Temporary insurance is not applicable for No Claims Bonus, so it shouldn’t affect your annual policy.

Who do I contact about my claim?

If there’s an accident or incident involving the vehicle, your insurer’s dedicated claims-handling team will help. Please call them on the number displayed on your Certificate of Motor Insurance or policy wording.

How do I make a claim?

If there’s an accident or incident involving the vehicle, your insurer’s dedicated claims-handling team will help. Please call them on the number displayed on your Certificate of Motor Insurance or policy wording.

What to do immediately after the accident

  • Stop at the scene – remember it’s an offence not to stop
  • Turn on your hazard lights
  • Check that everyone in the vehicle is safe and if anyone is injured, call an ambulance
  • Keep calm and swap your details with the other parties involved
  • Remember to take lots of photos, showing the damage to each vehicle, the registration numbers, the position of the vehicles and any road markings or signage
  • Don’t apologise or admit responsibility at the scene or afterwards when speaking with the other party
  • Take the details of anyone who witnessed the accident too.

 Call as soon as you can – especially if you need the vehicle to be recovered.
